1. Your Right to Opt Out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA/CPRA”), California residents have the right to direct a business to not “sell” or “share” their personal information. Similar rights may be available to residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah).
2. What “Sale” and “Sharing” Mean Here
Ravody does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, our use of certain advertising, analytics, and affiliate-attribution cookies may constitute “sharing” under CPRA, because these technologies can involve the disclosure of identifiers (such as cookie IDs or IP addresses) to third-party advertising or affiliate-network partners for purposes that may include cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How to Opt Out
You have several ways to exercise this right:
- Automated signal: Enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in a supporting browser or browser extension. Ravody treats a valid GPC signal as an opt-out request for your browser/device.
- Cookie preference tool: Where available on the Site, use our cookie consent manager to disable non-essential advertising and affiliate-tracking cookie categories.
- Direct request: Email admin@ravody.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share Request” including sufficient information for us to identify your browsing session or account (if applicable).
4. Verification
For requests submitted by email, we may ask for limited additional information solely to verify the request is legitimate and to locate the relevant data, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
5. Effect of Opting Out
Once you opt out, we will stop sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes going forward. Please note that:
- Opting out does not delete data already collected — use a deletion request under our Privacy Policy for that purpose.
- Opting out is generally tied to your specific browser/device; if you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to repeat the opt-out on each.
- You may still see advertising on the Site after opting out, but it will not be based on cross-context behavioral profiling.
6. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent’s authorization and may still need to verify your identity directly.
7. Non-Discrimination
We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights under this page.
8. Sensitive Personal Information
Ravody does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (as defined under CPRA) through the Site in the ordinary course of operation. If this changes, we will update our Privacy Policy and provide a mechanism to limit its use, as required.
