1. Our Editorial Mission
Ravody exists to give readers trustworthy, independent guidance across four categories: VPN services, video games, artificial intelligence tools, and software applications. This Editorial Policy explains how we select what to cover, how we test and score products, how we handle commercial relationships, and how we correct mistakes.
2. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions at Ravody — including which products we cover, what score or rating we assign, and the conclusions we draw — are made independently of any advertising, affiliate, or sponsorship relationship. Our writers and editors do not receive commission-based compensation tied to specific product recommendations. Where a commercial relationship exists with a company we cover, it is disclosed in accordance with our Affiliate Disclosure.
3. How We Choose What to Cover
We prioritize products and news stories based on reader relevance, market significance, timeliness, and the availability of sufficient information to produce a well-supported article. Being covered on Ravody is never contingent on a company purchasing advertising or joining an affiliate program.

5. Testing Conditions and Disclosure
Where feasible, we conduct hands-on testing rather than relying solely on marketing materials or specification sheets. Where hands-on testing is not practical for a given article (for example, in fast-moving news coverage), we rely on official sources, documentation, and, where relevant, third-party benchmark data, which we cite. Specific test conditions (hardware, network, region, account tier) are noted within individual reviews where they materially affect results.
6. Rating Scale
Where we assign a numerical or star rating, our scale generally follows: Exceptional, Very Good, Good, Fair, and Poor, mapped to a 10-point or 5-star scale as indicated in the relevant article. Ratings reflect the reviewer’s overall assessment weighted across the criteria listed above for that category.
7. Updates to Reviews
Software, VPN services, games, and AI tools change frequently. We periodically revisit and update reviews to reflect material changes in pricing, features, or performance. Updated reviews note the date of the most recent revision.
8. Corrections Policy
When we identify a factual error, we correct it as promptly as possible. Substantive corrections (affecting a conclusion, rating, price, or key fact) are noted with a visible correction notice at the bottom of the article, including the date of correction. Minor corrections (typos, formatting) may be made without a notice. Readers can report suspected errors via our Contact Us page.
9. Sponsored Content
Any content that is paid for or commissioned by a brand (as opposed to independently written by our editorial team) is clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” and is subject to the same factual-accuracy standards as our independent content, though the framing and product selection in such content is directed by the sponsoring brand.
10. Conflicts of Interest
Writers and editors are required to disclose to our editorial team any personal financial interest, employment relationship, or other conflict of interest with a company or product being covered. Where a conflict exists, we either reassign the article to a different writer or disclose the conflict transparently within the piece.
